Background

Flagyl (metronidazole) is a medication that was introduced to the world over the last two decades. It is a synthetic antibacterial agent. The drug contains two antibiotics, metronidazole (the active form of Flagyl) and metronidazole (the inactive form of Flagyl). Metronidazole and metronidazole are used together to treat bacterial infections in humans. The main function of metronidazole is to inhibit bacterial DNA replication and thus the growth of certain microorganisms. The active part of metronidazole prevents the synthesis of bacterial DNA and thereby prevents the proliferation of bacteria. Metronidazole acts in the gastrointestinal tract to inhibit bacterial growth. Metronidazole is an inhibitor of the cytochrome P450 system and thus the metabolism of metronidazole. Metronidazole inhibits the biosynthesis of bacterial protein (phages) which are essential for the survival of the bacteria. Metronidazole is used for the treatment of bacterial infections in the body. Metronidazole is the first antibiotic in a class of drugs called metronidazole and the second in an extended-spectrum class of antibiotics called metronidazole and it has been widely used for the treatment of bacterial infections in the body. Metronidazole is a broad-spectrum antibiotic with a spectrum of activity against a wide range of bacteria. It is active against various gram-negative and gram-positive organisms and is effective against a wide range of bacteria. Metronidazole is not an antiparasitic. It has been proven in vitro against a variety of organisms including Gram-negative bacteria.

Side Effects

Like all medications, metronidazole may cause side effects. The most common of which are gastrointestinal disturbances and diarrhea. However, these side effects are usually temporary and resolve once the medication is stopped. Less frequently, more serious side effects may occur such as allergic reactions and anaphylaxis.
